Hope Found in the Forgotten
From Swannanoa to Hot Springs:
A Purposeful Move
After completing our work in Swannanoa in early 2025, we began hearing quiet but urgent calls from a nearby town that had been largely overlooked in disaster recovery efforts: Hot Springs, North Carolina.
We made the move—not because it was easy, but because we knew they needed help and had been forgotten. The need was real. The community was struggling. And we knew this was exactly where we were meant to be next.
What We’ve Accomplished in Hot Springs

40 Emergency Structures Built

Our team and volunteers hit the ground running. In only eight weeks, we built and delivered 40 safe, secure structures for individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Helene and housing insecurity, and we are still going.

These structures provide a solid foundation for rebuilding lives—and restoring dignity.

A Full-Service Community Kitchen

One of our most impactful builds: a permanent, fully functional kitchen—initially used to feed our team and volunteers, and will be left behind as a gift to the campground and town.

Our Hot Springs “Hub of Hope” became a lifeline for many. More than just a building, it served as a:
-
Supply distribution center (food, hygiene, clothing)
-
Shelter coordination hub
-
Mental health support point
-
Safe place for conversation, comfort, and community
People came not only for resources—but for hope.
